About Creekbend Aviation
My name is Simon Feagans. I grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where my passion for aviation first took root. I started flying when I was 14 with my dad, and from that first flight, I was hooked. What began as something we shared quickly turned into a lifelong passion that shaped the path I’m on today.
Since my start as a teenager, I’ve gone from zero hours to earning my commercial pilot certificate and flight instructor ratings. I’ve built real-world experience through training and instructing in a variety of aircraft, and I continue to grow as a pilot while helping others begin their own journey in aviation.
Creekbend Aviation is a one-man operation based out of a quiet, historic private airport (IN37). Training takes place on a peaceful grass runway surrounded by Indiana countryside, creating a low-stress, focused learning environment that makes it easy to build strong fundamentals without the pressure of a busy commercial airport.
I offer a flexible, low-key training program that can be tailored to any schedule or experience level—whether you’re just starting out or working toward advanced ratings. From our private grass strip, training expands into surrounding airports to develop real-world skills, confidence, and comfort in a variety of airspace and conditions.
My goal is simple: to provide personal, high-quality flight training that builds confident, capable pilots—and to make sure you actually enjoy every step of the process!
